One of the rarest teas in the world, grown in the highlands of Kenya's Nandi Hills. Kenyan Purple Tea contains twice the antioxidants of traditional green tea and half the caffeine, delivering a smooth, sustained energy boost without bitterness. Its deep purple leaves brew to a beautiful violet hue — add a drop of lemon to intensify the colour. Earthy, smooth, and subtly floral. 50–60 cups per canister.
Developed by the Tea Research Foundation of Kenya (TRFK) and grown by the Terik community of Nandi Hills, this tea is a product of years of agricultural innovation. HEYRU founder Joseph was drawn to purple tea for its extraordinary nutritional profile and its ability to support the indigenous farming communities of Kenya. A portion of HEYRU's proceeds goes directly to the Terik community through the HEYRU Terik Community Donation program. Every cup connects you to that story.
